ADC Solution Candle Sand is a free-flowing candle wax with a fine, sand-like texture that allows you to create candles without melting the wax or using specialized melting equipment.
Simply pour the candle sand into a suitable heat-resistant container, insert a wick and the candle is ready to use. The wax can also be fragranced and coloured, making it ideal for personalized decorative candles, weddings, events, table centerpieces and creative workshops.
The product is based on a palm wax and stearin formulation.

How to Use
- Choose a suitable heat-resistant, non-combustible candle container.
- Pour ADC Solution Candle Sand directly into the container.
- Lightly compact the sand if required for better wick stability.
- Insert a wick suitable for the diameter of the container.
- The candle is ready to use – no pre-melting is required.
Adding Fragrance
The manufacturer recommends adding approximately 3–6% fragrance oil.
Add the fragrance oil to the candle sand in a separate bowl and mix thoroughly to distribute the fragrance as evenly as possible.
The fragrance concentration must also comply with the relevant:
- IFRA documentation;
- CLP classification;
- finished-product labelling requirements.
We recommend carrying out a full burn test before producing larger quantities.
Adding Colour
Powdered candle dyes are recommended for coloring Candle Sand.
Mix the powder thoroughly into the wax before pouring it into the container. Different colors can also be layered to create patterns, gradients and decorative effects.
Suitable Wicks
ADC Solution Candle Sand is compatible with:
- cotton wicks;
- wooden wicks.
Choose the wick according to the container diameter, fragrance load and required burn characteristics.
Every container, wick and fragrance combination should undergo a full burn test.
Suitable Containers
Use only non-combustible, heat-resistant containers suitable for candles, such as:
- glass;
- metal;
- ceramic.
Keep the wick centered and sufficiently far away from the container walls. A flame positioned too close to glass can create excessive localized heat and may damage the container.
For this product, a container approximately 8 cm or more in diameter is recommended to provide adequate distance between the burn area and the sides.
Do not use decorative vessels unless they are suitable for candle use and elevated temperatures.
Reusing the Candle Sand
Only the wax immediately surrounding the wick melts during burning.
Once the candle is extinguished, the melted wax cools and solidifies. This section can be removed together with the used wick, while the remaining clean, unused Candle Sand can be collected and reused.
Simply insert a new wick into the remaining wax to create another candle.
